Meade County “Flips” to Republican Registration
September 21st, 2020

In 1978, my mother and father moved their family to Meade County so dad could be closer to work at Fort Knox and raise their children in a more rural environment like dad grew up in. Being good citizens, they went to the County Clerk’s office to change their voter registration. When they asked for the voter registration cards the clerk told them, they must register as a Democrat if they wanted to have any say in the county elections. That was most likely said innocently enough, as there were few, if any, Republican candidates at that time but it seemed wrong my mother for the clerk to attempt to force people to register a certain way. This type of activity creates a self-fulfilling prophecy, as new people register, they are led to register for one party which of course keeps the other party from gaining any influence in the area.
Those times are gone! Thanks to Republican leadership of the 1990s and 2000s as well as the shift of the democratic party toward the Marxist Left, Meade County has “Flipped” to a Republican majority. As of September 15, 2020, the voter registration for Meade County shows 10536 Republicans and 10409 Democrats. This is not only a momentous occasion for Meade County but also for the entire 2nd Congressional District. While the 2nd Congressional District officially became Republican with individual registrations earlier this year, the addition of Meade County now gives the district a majority of counties (11 to 10) that are Republican majority.
The momentum continues to push toward the Republican party through as you see the violence and extreme socialist ideas of the democratic party not just at the national level but even at the local level. You see the local Democratic Party along with the help of the local newspaper, attacking Republicans in the local paper and they won’t even give their real name. They use a pen name to hide their shame as they know they don’t have proof. Much like the Democratic Party did to Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation when they searched high and low to find anyone who would risk jail time by coming to the senate and making up claims of inappropriate behavior when he was a teenager to smear his good name, these Democrats are hiding behind a fake name making unfounded claims to create doubt in our elected officials simply because they are Republican. Voting for Brian Chism and Amy McGrath only legitimizes this behavior don’t buy into it.
Vote Nancy Tate and all Republicans November 3rd and show these Marxist Democrats we don’t need that behavior in Meade County.
