How can a Christian Vote for Donald Trump?

October 29th, 2020

This article was submitted to me as a letter from one Christian to another as to how a Christian can support Donald Trump.

Let me start off by saying I’m glad we can discuss this and still be friends. We know the political atmosphere has become toxic. I am voting for the administration and their agenda and not for the person.  I need to look beyond one man and look at the bigger picture and see how the administration has fought for what I believe in. My main concerns are religious liberty, and the sanctity of life.

Under democrat run cities Christians lose the battle against same sex marriage and those cities refuse to condemn violence, rioting (I’m not talking about peaceful protesting), and if Biden/Harris get in they will always side with the Muslims before the Christians. The Muslims come from the line of Ishmael. We come from the line of Isaac. To back this up you can read the Democratic Convention Platform for 2020.

Kamala Harris wants to take our gun rights away. It’s a constitutional right, the 2nd Amendment, for us as individuals to bear arms for self-defense.

I see the DNC working toward socialism, full government control (which leads to one world order) and the DNC is a very strong supporter of planned parenthood, LGBTQ+, BLM and the very far left.  I don’t see them as the democrats they used to be.

Why did Beshear leave abortion clinics and liquor stores open but closes churches and have police take license plate numbers of people who attended church.  I strongly believe in religious freedom. Our country was built on Christian principles, George Washington is a good example.  John MacArthur has been fined repeatedly because he kept his church open. California is a democratic run state (Kamala Harris) and the things they did and are doing to MacArthur just blows my mind.  I don’t want that kind of leadership over my country.

Trump has appointed 200 federal judges who are conservative and who defend freedom, religious liberty, and the value of life.

And look at the Supreme Court judges. First Brett Kavanaugh And now Amy Coney Barrett. They stand for what I as a Christian believes.

New York: Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that God got no credit for Covid relief in their state.  It was all them and their hard work.  He also supports the Reproductive Care Act… again abortion.

I look at people in the Republican Party that I admire:  Mike Pence, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Huckabee, Ben Carson, David Jeremiah, Franklin Graham, Kirk Cameron, Jim Caviezel, Amy Coney Barrett, Ted Cruze, Mike Pompey and many others.

Then I look at the Democratic Party: the Clinton’s, The Obama’s, Biden, Harris, Cuomo, George Soros ( Who, if you research will see how he came to America, how he came to be a billionaire, and what he funds with his money). He is also an atheist.

Squirrel moment: Did you know that biblically Soros means urn or receptacle for keeping the bones of the dead.

I can’t vote anti-conservative, abortion, anti-gun rights, open borders, socialism.

Biden/Harris want to pack the Supreme Court to get the results they want to get and in the debates with the president, Vice President and the senate that was never denied.

With Republican agenda the Dow Jones is up tremendously. We took a hit in late February because of Covid. The China virus. Is that coincidence?

One of the most important things that this agenda has done is recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and I will always stand with Israel. They are Gods chosen people.

Do I like it when Trump starts tweeting… ugh no… keep those hideous remarks to yourself.  Is he the person he was years ago with women… I truly don’t think so.  We all have a past.  It’s the present and beyond I need to look at. Is he arrogant. Yes!

Was King David a sinner? Yes! Did he have an affair with Bathsheba, have her husband killed? Yes! But did he have a heart for God? Yes. Just like Queen Esther, David was put as King to further Gods agenda. Look at all your patriarchs. They were not perfect. Far from it. But they feared God and I believe Trump does also and I believe God is not with any politician that does not fear Him.

So to end this, I feel like we are in the world for the sake of the Kingdom.  I think our political beliefs need to be shaped by the Bible and not how the media spins it.

One thing for sure is our hope is eternal and not of this world.  Not in who is president.  The president is not my savior, Jesus is King. Just like Kyle Idleman said Sunday but I do believe the stakes are extremely high for the future of our kids and their kids if the Lord doesn’t come back for us before then.

A few scriptures:  Genesis 1:27, the whole story of King David, the story of Esther, 2 Samuel 23, Exodus 18, 2 Corinthians 6, Matthew 4, Galatians 1, 2nd Chronicles 15 & 19, and Psalms 33.

And remember, this is why I vote the way I do. Pray and vote however you feel God is leading you.  No matter what, you are my friend and I believe we have shown what it is like for a Republican and a Democrat to have differences of opinions but still love each other and treat each other with respect. Both parties could take a lesson from that.
