Since Republicans have taken control of the state General Assembly, they have been able to stop at least 13 bills authored by Democrats that would have increased regulations on firearms.

Those 13 bills included numerous bills to allow local governments to set their own regulations on the types of weapons and ammunition allowed

They also included bills that would have penalized gun owners for new definitions of proper storage.

And finally, they sought to establish laws that would have restricted the sale of certain guns in Kentucky and establish new age limits for the sale of guns in Kentucky.

Democrats in Frankfort have made their agenda clear: if they take back power in the General Assembly, they will seek to restrict our gun rights.
