Election 2023

Meade County Republican Growth

October 30th, 2020

By Mark Burnett

Two weeks ago we wrote here about how Meade County had “flipped” from a Democrat majority to a Republican majority. This week we want to report that the Republican Party in Meade County had a 427 voter increase in 1 month showing the momentum continues to move toward the Republican party.

You can see the Democratic candidates taking notice. Suddenly, in just the last couple of weeks, you have seen “Proud to be Pro-Life” and “I support the 2nd Amendment” signs popping up as add ons to Brian Chism’s signs. This would seem to indicate Mr. Chism must feel he needs to make up ground and to do so he wants people to think he is a Republican. Don’t be fooled. Mr. Chism signed an affidavit stating he intends to adhere to the Democrat Platform, which clearly states they will fight for abortion and they will fight for the removal of guns from law abiding citizens like you and I. If Mr. Chism believes in these basic pillars of the Republican party, then why is he a Democrat? Signs don’t tell the whole story and you have to at least ask yourself why he waited so long to put out those signs and ads out. The likely reason is because he does not really stand for those things but knows the most Meade County voters do.

In any case, Nancy Tate has walked the walk on these issues working with the Kentucky Right to Life, she responded to the NRA questionnaire, she responded to the Right to Life questionnaire. Mr. Chism did not. Ms. Tate has the endorsement of both because they trust her to do what she says she will do, fight for us and fight for the unborn.

Vote Republican now through November 3rd.
